With this album, every single song streams with perfection as the riffs, bass lines, arabic chants, tribal drums, lyrics (regarding the story of Noah’s Ark), and vocals (both male and female) in both English and Islamic dominate the album. I also consider this the best concept album I have ever heard, along with the best death metal releases of 2004. Even the filler tracks are worth listening too on the album, along with each separate track as they go through the story of Noah and his ark, finally ending with powerful epic track The Storm Still Rages Inside, which is then followed by a calm closer ending one of the best musical experiences I have ever heard.

Good bands are hard to find these days. They all seem like a carbon copy of one another. Almost everything seems to be geared towards pleasing high-school kids. Enters Orphaned Land. I'm not even going to try to describe this beast of a refreshment. Here I am minding my own business one day, thinking there is nothing more to be done. Wrongly thinking Opeth did everything. Enters Orphaned Land. Like Alexander's marriage of east and west this album strikes you and strikes you hard. Never has the Middle East sounded so engaging, so full of life, so breathakingly beautiful and deliciously headbangable at the same time. Steven Wilson is producing their next album. I have high hopes.

The capacity of human intelligence seems to limit the capabilities to expand upon any possible creative aptitudes. Indeed, if one cannot even notice the facets that the ingenuities around him are comprised of, how can he be expected to fashion a beast of his own? This inveterate sense of constraint is a great blow to the veracity of mankind’s abilities. It restrains us and holds our minds to the ground below, averting any possibility of rising above ourselves to something greater; something not fathomed by the conventional mind. This concept of seeking to go beyond one’s self, known as “transcendence”, is essentially a gateway to unlocking pieces of ourselves that can lead to some of the most elaborate and significant creations of our world. For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed.

Solid album, this Israeli band knew not only how to make a good (prog) metal stuff, but also how to combine it with their own cultural (music) heritage. Both Netanyahu and Abbas must listen to track "Ocean Land" carefully, they both must interpret lyrics "...hayya 'alassalaam!" To dear Netanyahu and Abbas, please think that, make "assalaam" real!

at first this album wasnt that good, but i gave it another try and yes i am glad i did it. the layers of music, the atmosphere....gah just beautiful...sure this isn't toooo heavy but this album was made towards israelis and their overall style of music isnt heavy so this band did great in balancing out soft parts with heavy parts
