As Broseidon, king of the brocean, I think i'm personally entitled to kick off this years Bro's Choice Awards:2010 edition. For best bro-core album of 2010 I nominate The Ghost Inside's Returners as the essential bro-core album to own, regardless if you're a bro or not. Chock full of catchy breakdowns to tool out to, self motivating lyrical content not seen since the film 300, groovy riffs that recall FUCK YEAH PANTERA!!! and some fist pumping melodies to show everyone that you might be a bro but you also have feelings. I also nominate The Ghost Inside for most bro-tastic video for Unspoken and for greatest breakdown of 2010 in Downbeat. I guarantee you will not be having sex with a woman with this album but who gives a fuck, we're bros, we stick together and pound beers, bump fists and lift weights. Fuck yeah.....

Not the typical bro-core band. Definitely on par with Parkway Drive. TGI is superior in their melodic passages and catchiness (see Chrono and Between the Lines) and structuring, but inferior in breakdowns. While there are plenty of tasteful breakdowns, some of them are just pointless (although one could argue that breakdowns in general are pointless, but that's another topic). Great album though. I am really glad they are reviving the melodic hardcore sound that was becoming so droning, repetitive, and inefficient. These guys should be engineers they are so efficient with their songs.

Excellent album. Have taken their melody to a new level. The musicianship has improved tenfold. A few of the
breakdowns are a bit one paced and stale but besides this there isn't much wrong with this. Can't beat the pure
aggression of this band. Hopefully I'll find a better copy soon.

Ok melodic metalcore with adolescent one-liners just before the big chuggy chuggy breakdown. The whole genre tired me over the years, but tracks 1, 3, 4, 6 and 10 still go hard.

'Returners' was one of the most looked forward to hardcore albums of 2010, and while the year seemed to be on and off for music, this is one that managed to live up to it's expectations and beyond. It's a hard hitting album filled with memorable chants, big breakdowns and melodic hardcore entertainment from start to finish.

An extremely well executed metalcore cd considering the flooding of the genre. Great breakdowns, great vocals and very decent lyrics. It really doesn't deserve anything less than 3.5 irrespective of whether you like the genre.

I'm not going to buy into this "classic" rating business, but this album is definitely a huge step up from their boring debut. "Walk Away From The World" is a great, fast, melodic intro, and tracks 2,3,4, and 6 shine out compared to the rest.

Now you may read this and think "troll?" and I wouldn't blame you on an initial read. I too was skeptical of this album (I mean...just take a look at the newest Parkway Drive ratings). But one listen in....and I'm impressed, everything has been fine tuned and improved upon and almost everyway. This is easily some of the finest "melodicore" there is around. Probably going to review this sometime, but for now just listen and hopefully you won't be disappointed.

suprised by this record in many ways... the musicianship has improved immensely from there last record, the vocals have this constent driving force, but the main thing is the melodic nature of the music that they have brought into their sound for me makes them one of the best young up and coming hardcore acts in the future.

Everything about this cd is perfect: the lyrics are spot on and always motivating, the production is crisp and sounds great, the musicianship found on here is inspiring. More bands should take note of this. This is the perfect hardcore record. I am definitely going to buy this on the release date.
