So... when you repeat the same ideas and sounds that you can't tell the difference between one track to the next... YOU CALL IT PROGRESSIVE!!! Ok cool...

Great album, the sound and production and talent is amazing, and the fact that they are not a clone of another band, they have there own amazing sound. Can't wait to see what they do after this album.

These guys blew me away when I first heard them. Everything is there: catchy hooks, beautiful guitar lines,
groovy bass, rock-solid drumming and soaring vocals. They're a phenomenal band, but this album is
ultimately let down by pacing. Some of the latter tracks are comparatively forgettable, especially when coming
after the assault that is "Here We Divide" all the way through "Cage". All in all, an exciting debut and a great
indicator of what's to come...if Kim doesn't lose his voice from all the touring.

Music of this type usually isn't my cup of tea, but Dead Letter Circus is just too good for me to ignore. This Is The Warning is both accessible and deep, melodic and dramatic, calm and frenetic, and most importantly, original and thought-provoking. It is so many things, and something else entirely (and as such, is quite difficult to describe). There is a sort of ethereal atmosphere; the soaring vocals take on an almost dream-like quality at times. It is quite infectious, but doesn't rely on superficial hooks to keep you engaged; it remains musically interesting throughout. Dead Letter Circus throw a lot of sounds at you here, but it remains very cohesive.

Amazing production throughout that is only surpassed by the incredible vocals. From the opening of "Here We Divide" the listener realizes what a treat they are in for. Australia seems to be putting out some pretty impressive music these days, but no group more impressive than Dead Letter Circus. Brining a refreshing sound reminiscent of bands such as U2 that became big in the early 80's, hopefully DLC will continue to gain popularity and save the music industry from being dominated by acts like Justin Beiber and Carly Rae Jepsen singing about teen relationships and exchanging numbers. XD

I love how these guys combine the modern alternative rock scene with a progressive sound that stays relevant to this era while seeming almost ahead of its time in some ways. I ran into these guys after bouncing with Karnivool's Sound Awake album and I must say, I dare anybody to put an album together like this. I'm keeping my eyes on these guys, they've latched themselves on to some pretty damn good music.

It's kind of like an amalgamation of The Mars Volta, Tool, Karnivool, and Rishloo except not as good. With
the exception of the "epic" one-two punch of "The Drum" and "The Design," as well as the disjointed title
track that closes the album out, there is zero variation in sound or structure. Highlights include the
eclectically energetic opener, "Here We Divide," the fast-paced and enjoyable "Next In Line," and "The Long
Hour," led by a fantastic chorus. Listen to those three songs and throw "The Drum" in for some
ambient/progressive variation and you've more or less heard the entire album. It seems that Dead Letter
Circus work best as an EP-only band.
