I think this is my favourite Drudkh album now. It feels like the culmination of everything that has come before, issued
forth under trying and emotional circumstances, yet capturing their folk-y atmospheric black metal style like never
before. Shadow Play features some of the tightest playing, most organic production, and deftly enveloping melodies of
their career - a completely immersive experience.

Definitely a great addition to an already great atmoblack discog, but I can't say this hit me as hard as I expected. Overlong intro (yes) and very very solid and pretty atmoblack songs that nevertheless do not reinvent the wheel nor strike me as sweepingly beautiful. Just solid atmoblack.
