5.0 classic | JD201soccer@aol.com | June 21st 06 | Basically ALS happening to Jason Becker was sadder then any tragedy throughout history, he has so much music in his head that he kills to compose. All he can move are his eyes. He made Perspective After he had ALS with his eyes. He used a computor program made by a friend and made each song note by note. NOTE BY ***ING NOTE. Now many people have seen his videos of Serrena Arpeggios and Live in Japan and stuff like that but not many people relize that besides being a great guitar player how good of a writer he is and how much more the music world woul dbe if he was still physically fit. Perpetual burn would have to be one of the biggest parts of his career and never gets tiring to listen to. From his creative shredding patterns to his well writeen classical riffs this CD is more then worth getting. Check it out.

4.0 excellent | GamamJ | April 28th 20 | One of the most complete shred albums put to tape. Jason Becker isn?t another one of those, while technically impressive; mindless shredders. No, he might just be the most technically skilled there ever was until now with only Yngwie as a peer, but there is tons of soul here. Mindboggling string-skipping arpeggios and balls to the wall speed metal can be found here, but so can the Bouree-like Air. Skill, variation and soul. They are all here.

4.5 superb | fullautorpg | January 31st 18 | Already an absolute classic, from start to finish. Starting with the legendary Altitudes and continuing its awesomeness to Opus Pocus, Perpetual Burn will perpetually amaze you.I don't think the back half is quite as good as the front half, where it slows down a bit much at times, but it is still a great album, but it doesn't quite live up to the opening songs.
