1.5 very poor | WhiteTieBlackJacket | March 9th 11 | This is called selling out. Before Their Eyes had a solid debut when they released their self-titled. I appreciated the simplicity of the guitar work and the honesty in the lyrics. What I dislike about this record is that it is the opposite of their self titled. The guitar work sucks because it is contrived and it tries to be every other post hardcore band. The lyrics are even worse. This band is dead to me.

1.5 very poor | phpjoey | March 23rd 10 | The first track starts off with boring screaming. When the clean vocals hit, the first thing I heard was Boys Like Girls.

2.0 poor | sspedding | March 18th 10 | A mixed bag really, they seem to be split on influences and it doesn't work. The poppier songs work okay overall but the generic metalcore nonsense is pathetic. The breakdown at the end of
'Hell or High Water' earns this an extra .5.

2.0 poor | axetofall517 | March 10th 10 | The pop efforts just come off sounding as corny as Boys Like Girls and the usual screaming with breakdowns come off as stale. They should have just picked one style instead of mixing it up. The album doesn't flow well and the tracks seemed to be placed randomly. And an acoustic alt-country song doesn't fit in as the closer (The Almost already tried that one.)

I will always love this band no matter what people on this site say.
I still like the old Before Their Eyes by a large margin

0.0 | bloc | March 9th 10 | Congratulations Before Their Eyes! You have managed to write an album that could potentially be successful in today's radio! Huh? That's not what your goal was? Oh.....Carry on then.....Yep, you won't find any screaming on this album save for the first track and a couple of the last ones meaning that the middle portion of this album is stuffed with pop-punk garbage. Untouchables travels deeper into the realm of pop-punk and drifts further from post-hardcore. Even the tracks with screaming aren't enough to get you huffing and puffing. The end result is a bunch of songs that are simply hit or miss, depending on the listener. Top tracks are Hey Dude! and Hell or High Water (both are the first and last songs on the album respectively, btw).
