3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | April 27th 24 | Hard to even classify this composition as a whole but it evokes intense ethereal dreamscapes, peaceful/warming atmospheres and sometimes moments that feel alien/surreal. Often very delicate and almost always delivers very solid vocal harmonies and melodies that tend to drive the music along. Some very enjoyable moments are the syncopated vocals in 'Paintings on the Wall', the transition that happens when 'Immersion' ends and 'Slow-Mo Moving River' begins and 'Docklands' on the whole. Somehow the album feels intricate and grand in composition while being mellow and down-to-earth overall.
