Man wtf!? This has to be one of the strongest year starts for metal music. Crazy good records rdropping out of nowhere everyday.rThis one is sick, state of the art tech/prog disso death in the vein of Flourishing, rAeviterne, Castevet, etc... I guess people will mention Deathspell Omega, Gorguts and rUlcerate as usual too. But don't be fooled into thinking this is your avg 1000th disso death rband. The sludgy guitar tone, the sick drumming and combination of elements, from black metal rto core elements make this album stands on its own for all the good reasons. Two AOTY rcontenders in January already, wow...

Cave Sermon nail their "modern everything metal" sound, with dissodeath moments leveraging the heaviness of post-metal and the urgency of black metal. A great indication that the scene is doing well.
