Triptykon pick up from where Celtic Frost left off, and with the infusion of new blood, they let the people know how doom/death metal should sound these days. On another note, it's a guilty delight gazing at the H.R. Giger (R.I.P.) art while listening to the album.
Eeeevillll indie rock with some leftover Monotheist riffs tossed in. The whiney hate-anthem "A Thousand Lies" could have fit on any crappy Century Media album in the last decade. That's just the cherry of mediocrity on an up-its-own-ass sundae.
Great start for Tom G. Warrior's new band Triptykon. Essentially following the style found on Celtic Frost's Monotheist, this is an excellent example of modern metal. A mesh of doom, thrash, black and whatever that sounds natural and unique.
