I've only heard 3 songs from this CD, this is a very generous 4.5 that may drop madly when the CD comes out, but I have a big soft spot for FFTL, I've been there for all of their efforts, good or bad they've been a constant favorite, and from what I've heard they are FINALLY replying to all the hate they got on their ST and bringing their A Game to the table, I will be shocked if this CD isn't as good as I hope it will be.

Touches on social and cultural topics never thought possible from a band like this. A post-hardcore album that criticizes other post-hardcore albums.

Sweet drumming, good guitar, and ok vocals make for some pretty fun songs, but there isn't enough variety on the album to keep you interested for long. If you hate this band then at least check out "A Soft War" and "Now That You're Gone." They do some cool things with them.

Where does Throne to the Wolves stand in the great scheme of things in relation to FFTL? It's not as good as their self-titled (read: best) record, but still miles ahead of both Heroine and Dear Diary. There's some exceptionally catchy stuff here, but also plenty of filler ("Chyeaaaah!" and "A Soft War" to name a few). Despite their best efforts, it's really not here nor there as a studio release. Perhaps they've played it a little too safe this time around?

This should have been the CD after "Dear Diary...". Its definitely progression since that record, and although it took them 6 years, many band changes, and 2 awful CDs, the From First to Last I knew and loved is back. Although the voice is different, they have a CD that has that sound that got them fans in the first place with new taste in the mix as well. Added gang chorus and even some solid shredding on the guitar give a fresh taste to the CD. If this is what comes from kicking out Travis, it should have happened before their name became dirt. However, dirt makes a lot of cool things, like the pyramids, and sand castles. I thinking this will be the amazing comeback the band been looking for since Sonny quit.
