While not quite on the level of Firepower, Invincible Shield is still an incredibly impressive showcase of pure metal magic from a band that has been kicking for over half a century. Do yourself a favor and skip those bonus tracks, though.r

this is not an album by a 54 year old band most members of which are in their 70s, sounds like the debut of a present day heavy/pm band wtfff. last 3 tracks are disappointers tho was considering a 4 until they hit, bonuses are in the same vein

This was a pretty good one, but in the end I don't think it'll return to this one very often. It's good for a few listens, but it wasn't that fascinating for me. I admire their energy, and the fact that Judas Priest has released so many quality albums. Maybe a few pinnacles: "Gates of Hell" or "Escape From Reality" - I sensed some additional Ozzy and Europe "spices" in these songs, which is pretty cool, and these make them catchier.

freakin love what they've done with this album, pretty much like every song on here, even the bonus ones. Crown of Horns and Giants in the Sky even manage to make me tear up, this shit is REAL man.

This album is brimming with energy; metal bands 40 years younger often don't sound as full as life. While the relentless metal onslaught will keep you headbanging, it does get monotonous, as all songs are built around similar structures and paces, and the never-ending heaviness leaves little breathing room.
