Eaten Back to Life is a Death Metal Classic. If you like Death Metal and don't have/heard this album, you don't know what Death Metal really is.
Recommended Tracks:
A Skull Full of Maggots, Edible Autopsy, Put them to Death, Shredded Humans, Born in a Casket, and Scattered Remains, Splattered Brains.

An acceptable debut album nearly hindered by how monotonous the riffing can sometimes become. Cannibal Corpse would go on to achieve more success with future material, though at the time of its release, Eaten Back to Life was all they could conjure.

First death metal record I ever heard. It was seriously my 12th birthday and my older bro got this for me. I was in love with the artwork and the music is old-school, to the point and very satisfying. The track 'Born In A Casket' is the best one IMO.

The first LP of Cannibal Corpse, a band soon to become a important Death Metal icon. The riffs are much more Thrash Metal influenced than any other Cannibal Corpse album. The lyrics are also really great and entertaining. (But hard to make out, I mean... what did you expect?)

Ever since the beginning, Cannibal Corpse have been the true definition of gore metal, and their first full length album is no exception. This album is fueled with speedy death metal brutality, gruesome, gorey lyrics, and sickening cover art that define Cannibal Corpse. This is the album that first introduced Chris Barnes (now of Six Feet Under), and if you don't like SFU, then it's recommended you listen to Cannibal Corpse with new(er) vocalist George Fischer.
