3.0 good | Erwann S. STAFF | March 31st 23 | As expected: I like these three when they go for big big moments, but at the same time, all three gals have a tendency to bore me when they go for the introspective. This trades the two aesthetics, thus leaving with a kinda-mixed-yet-not-surprised feeling.

3.5 great | lz41 | January 19th 23 | It's good but it is also a little underwhelming. I guess a supergroup of three musicians who are all singer-songwriter/guitarists is better as a fan fiction.

2.5 average | Antonius | March 19th 24 | Although I regularly find joy in the indie/folk genre, I have struggled to understand how the record has found its way to the top of many album-of-the-year lists. Individually, the three artists might enjoy successful carreers on their own but together they don't sound to me as the 'supergroup' that they are often labelled. Albeit the sweet and harmonic vocals and the wonderful lyrics throughout the release, I was not impressed with this. Recommendations: "$20", "Anti-Curse".

3.0 good | Bro has djent in his pie | October 31st 23 | This album it's just simply not as good as the member's solo material. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt and say "maybe I just don't like Lucy Dacus" and that's bringing it down for me, cause I haven't heard much of her solo material, but no, I listened to "Night Shift" and I immediately liked it more than this entire album. In terms of Bridgers and Baker, I find their solo material genuinely heart-wrenching, with a slight edge to Baker in this regard, something I really cannot say about this album. On paper, I should love this, but the songs don't connect for whatever reason, I'm not quite sure why.

3.5 great | ajcollins15 | April 4th 23 | The debut album from the sad girl trio of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus might not be anywhere near as strong as their solo outings but is still a strong showing of what their brand of sadcore can sound like when done well. There really is nothing special about the record other than the names of those who made it, but it does have some really tracks like the indie rock ragger of ?$20? and ?Not Strong Enough?, plus the quintessential sadcore sounds of ?Revolution 0?, ?We?re In Love?, etc. the biggest problem is that many of the songs are solo performances in which they all sound like b-sides from their last albums so it?s hard to find much from the trio coming together.

4.0 excellent | yaboco | March 31st 23 | Singles had me under the impression it was going to be a little more rock forward than what we ended up getting. Lucy is my #1 but Julien's songs definitely shine the brightest. On the flip side, Phoebe's are the weakest and they all sound like Punisher part 2. Disappointed isn't the right word but maybe my expectations were too high.
