3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | April 22nd 23 | Chaotic, evil dirge that feels like you went to a haunted house for fun but ended up in a real haunted house that you ain't getting out of anytime soon. Disjointed and jumbled at times but it works because of the strong rhythm guitars providing a solid riff base and the excellent production where it feels like you can pick out any member of the band at anytime and focus in on them. Love how the bassist and lead guitars seem to just be on a sabbatical at times while the vocalist serenades Satan. I am beginning to think these guys have an affinity for Lucifer.

5.0 classic | FunJan | December 19th 23 | I cannot understand to rate this lower than 4.0!? So dense and great musicianship. But i can understand that listening to the whole thing could be stressful because the album is so relentless (and long). But that is a good thing for me.

3.5 great | Voivod STAFF | June 2nd 23 | Few black metal bands, veteran or otherwise, can showcase the tech prowess of Thy Darkened Shade, also prevalent in this album. That much admitted though, the sound production is a bit too melodic and hifi (borderline "compressed") for the genre, detracting merit points. It's also clear that the Hellenes did not proofread their material enough, so as to
make it bloat-free and therefore memorable, even though there's not a single part in the album that?s not jaw dropping technically… Stream: http://thydarkenedshade.bandcamp.com/album/liber-lvcifer-ii-mahapralaya

3.0 good | Gary STAFF | January 20th 23 | It's... OK. Feels too long, and while the basslines are amazing, the overall instrumentalization doesn't feel so synergic to me, and the vocals are definitely "too much".

3.0 good | Stormy Smiley Face | January 11th 23 | Yes I gave this a 3 but if I ranked all of my 3s on sputnik I believe this would be ranked ahead of 95% of the others. The bass on this album has some really awesome moments. The vocals are the biggest detractor.

3.0 good | Robert Davis | January 10th 23 | Can't really get behind the high rating for this. Too long for its own good and despite some passages really gaining momentum ("Veneration for the Fireborn" in particular) it didn't really stick with me as I expect it to.
