I'm not sure what direction I expected Rings of Saturn to go in after dismissing their vocalist, but this wasn't it. Did they fire their drummer too? Why all the drum machine usage in their songs? It's below their standard and a pretty bad deviation in their sound.

Their older stuff isn't great but it's at least passable. This sounds like Mann was out of ideas on the guitar and had to resort to wanking off on the synthesizer instead.

Some of the tackiest music I've heard in a while, an utterly horrendous blend of trap and technical wank-metal. Lucas Mann needs to have a serious reality check if this is what passes as good in his mind.

I haven?t logged into this account in 6-7 years? This album single handedly ignited my passion for music discussion. About 4-5 months ago, my girlfriend and I were on a trip and whilst we were on the interstate we were going through a list of worst metal albums ever and listening to them. I.E. Untitled by Korn, Ilud Divinium Insanus by Morbid Angel, etc. If this album doesn?t end up on some of these worst metal albums ever lists I?ll be horribly surprised. Fuck this album. And Lucas Mann.

It's quite bad most of the time, but to be honest, I've found certain moments quite enjoyable. For example Mind Palace and Shinigami are quite fun because they lack the awful trap elements, so the synths and the guitars are kinda...fun on a such instrumental release (plus I always liked the intrumentals in this band). Don't get me wrong, it's not any close to their early works in terms of quality. Half-assed, but not terrible.
