Exile replaces Outlive as Demon Hunter's most lethargic and bland album in their catalog. It's not that any one track on Exile is particularly horrible but rather that the ballad heavy, meandering, often lifeless collection of tunes render a listening experience that is burdensome and unengaging.

Anyone else notice that the mixing on this is severely, painfully bad in many sections? Vocals are buried in half of these
tunes. Track Notes: PRAISE THE VOID sounds like a demo. GODLESS fractures probably the laziest lyrics Ive ever seen
in a DH track. ANOTHER PLACE is excellent, but still held back by the half-baked mix and master.

I am a sucker for the Demon Hunter. Their best material in years! Exile is just great, both heavy and melodic fun. Still rocking and sounds fresh after many releases.

Easily the strongest release of the year for me. Novel, unique, different, a total 180 yet still brutually heavy with the accompaning ballads this time with some 90s grunge influence in the song Another Place and noise filling Praise The Void. Favorite album since Summer of Darkness, and I love everyone of their albums. Don't sleep on this!

Mix is spotty in this one. However, I actually really enjoy the progressive elements to the album.?Devotion,? ?
Revolution,? ?Freedom is Dead,? ?Master,? ?Defense Mechanism,? and ?Sleepwalker? go hard.
