this 44min masterpiece having a 5 hr bonus track turned out to be an entirely proportional countermeasure to
1) the colossal dissociation hazard of listening to it twice in a row
2) the inevitable disappointment of chasing it with literally any other music

This album feels incredibly of it's time but
it's time feels dystopian and self
destructive, It's something which achieves
beauty through our own detachment from the
natural world and feels transcendental as a
result.
this self aware take on the drastic
decline in mental health and the near
constant attachment to our online persona
and anonymity is a crushing eligy.
Especially when so often you can see cracks
in their hyper computerized delivery.
if this were the last piece of music ever
made. It would be perfectly representative
of what humanity is as a whole in a post
2020 world. Yeule is a shape shifter.

'Perfect Blue' and 'Don't Be So Hard on Your Own Beauty' are wonderful middle of the album with 'Bites on My Neck' being another standout. Much of the album is forgettable and honestly the nearly 5 hour ambient (bonus?) track is more of an annoyance than anything else. The 'glitch' aspect of this feels entirely overstated as well.

i like pretty textures: me too Yeule, me too. This is indeed a work of crashing textures that, alongside ethereal synths, wobbling basses, and fragile vocal performance, invokes an introspection glowing through deep melodies and dope songwriting.

Have you ever wondered how Siri or Alexa truly feel about what they are doing for you every single day? ?Glitch Princess? might be the closest thing we have to the musical form of that. This revolutionary project by the Singaporean-born producer, singer, songwriter and avant-garde master creates a thick and glitchy electronic album that feels like a futuristic take on hyperpop?which is tough to do since hyperpop is already futuristic. Although the album's pacing is a bit awkward in places, the craftsmanship on here is breathtaking. If you ever wanted Grimes to sound better, this is basically that.
