There comes a time in many listeners where an album will completely reshape the way they think about muzika. Highly debatable but just as equally personal. This is it for me. I just cannot fault this little number on anything. Simon Posford and Raja Ram have done an incredible job in piecing together these tracks to create a truly wonderful journey of soundscapes that results in a cohesive masterpiece. The last movement with the flute still makes the hairs on the back of neck stand up.
Easily one of the greatest albums ever produced, period. Not to mention, also crafted by easily one of the greatest musical groups ever... PERIOD. Not even just within the realm of electronic music, but all music in general (in my humble opinion, at least). Practically flawless.
Close to being a 5, this is a brilliant psy-trance/electronica album, and probably the best I've ever heard. It's extremerly creative and orignal, making it a plasure to listen to from start to finish, despite its 70 min runtime. Relaxing and provocative, from the spanish influenced guitars of "Dorset Perception" to the exotic movements of "Around the World....", it's simply mesmerising!
Top 3 Tracks: "Dorset Perception", "My Head Feels Like A Frisbee", "Around the World in a Tea Daze"
Our acid-tripping lord has an aura emanating from just his mind alone, and it works in some sort of mysteriously alluring manner. What we perceive with our mouths cannot be discerned by the eyeballs, but apparently speaking, humankind is able to telepathically make note of euphoria with only their cream-soaked ears. Tales of the Inexpressible by the psybient duo Shpongle is like a black cat using the greenery as a scratch post: idiotic disasters are initially to be invoked and yet they eventually transform into a library of technologic intelligence far too advanced for our brains.
