A dissapointing effort. Sole highlights: No Happy Ever After and Can't Escape the Waves.
Everything else here is boring as f*ck (except Bastards, that one may be the band at it's worst).

This album has some nice riffs, but I can't stand the lyrics and his whiny singing. But overall it's better than Gravity.

Why do these songs sound like they were recorded in a tunnel with a homeless guy playing an empty bucket for the snare drum? EDIT: First posted this after the initial singles were rolled out. Obviously the entire rest of the album sounds this way. The production is god awful. And if you sat through *Gravity*, its the same exact shit production and mixing. I cannot understand why a group of accomplished metal musicians would listen to this and think yea mate this shit sounds mint put it out....but I digress. Production/mixing aside, most of the songs are very fun here. Some terrible lyrics throughout, but that's to be expected with BFMV. Back to form after the previous snooze fest, at least. Still does not reach anywhere near the highs of the first two (or three depending on your thoughts) albums.

Their best in 11 years, but still that meant nothing, because band is floating from rock bottom to barely taking a breath. Bad drums mastering, good guitar work, vocal is pretty mediocre/standard for radio rock.

Didn't really have high expectations for these guys this late in the game, but the last three tracks in particular left me pleasantly surprised. Still not genre-breaking or 'wowing', but refreshing given their recent output.

When all is said and done this is relatively mediocre. But just for the novelty of BFMV being heavy again, this is cool enough. It's just so basic for the most part. Also the singing and production definitely suck ass.

Honestly not bad, especially compared to their last album. They're still as inconsistent as they've always been, but a lot of this slaps pretty hard. Just ignore that drum production...that part sucks.

I like the radio tuning in and out all of their past work... Nice little addition there to start the album. This isn't good, but it isn't terrible either.

very excited for this, and the first single slapsrEDIT: yeah this rips, a lot more atmospheric than i was expecting for a "heavy" styled Bullet album. "Death by a Thousand Cuts" feels like if they took "Under Again" off Gravity and rewrote it in the style of their first album.
