by far their best. this album has an energy and drive that i feel they have lost on their last couple releases. "cross out the eyes" is an awesome song.... and the rest of the songs are stellar too.
This album completely changed my life. It is purely a masterpeice from start to finish.highlights deffinately include Standing On The Edge Of Summer, Cross Out The Eyes, and A Hole In The World.
My second and favorite Thursday album. This is the one that realized that Blink-182 was out and Thursday was in as my favorite band. This has many Thursday classics on it such as Understanding In A Car Crash, Autobiography Of A Nation, A Hole In The World, Cross Out The Eyes, and Paris In Flames. This album is full of emotion all the way through. I still find it hard to believe that this was released on Victory Records. The songs deal with real issues, but they aren't laid out in front of you. An example is Paris In Flames on alienation. The songs on here are also the best ones played live. This is my favorite album of all time.
If I would be asked about my entry act to the world of Post Hardcore music, the answer would probably be Thursday. I read a lot about them online, being advertised as "Emo". Not correct as I know now. Checked them out nonetheless, and was caught by this album the most. Sure, you have to get used to the vocals, as they can seem strange and weird at first. But after a while this is really what adds to the whole composition. I like how the songs succed well in delivering a certain emotion, and I was always hooked by the bass work. Interesting stuff
Full Collapse is like a really erotic lesbian porno. In the beginning you’re like "ahhh yaaa" you see what’s going on and it's pretty awesome and you’re totally into it. Then after a while you’re kind of like "Whoa calm down a bit. That doesn't need to go there! They just keep going at it!" I mean, the aesthetics are pretty fantastic but it just keeps coming at you leaving you kind of bored, slightly nauseous, very dirty and overall; overwhelmed. Nevertheless you know it is pretty spectacular but you will leave this experiance ashamed and realizing that you really need a girlfriend.
