rThis album uncovers an unwritten language, illuminates unseen passages- in its transcendent fluidity, it helps one to meander lands of hope and sorrow on a journey of truth; along the way, it shows and highlights the past and future in a way that touches upon roots- it surely is one of music's awesome achievements, and the fact that the Dead did this is a sublime moment in the sunshine amid a week's worth of unsure changes highlights just how amazing, and how friendly this album is

I have always associate this album with summer. I think it is because I always feel warmth when listening to the songs on this record. There is not a bad song on the album and most are classics.

Same great Grateful Dead. "Box Of Rain" is still one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs. the rest of the album though is basically just as good.

This album is truly great. A home to some of the songs that would later be Dead staples (Truckin', Sugar Magnolia
anyone?). To me there is really no low point to this album, it is incredible the entire way through. Songs like
Candyman, Ripple, and Brokedown Palace evoke images and thoughts of massive amounts of Dead heads and a very
positive energy. The first album I heard by them, and is still my favorite.
