A more than decent debut from this progressive melodeath band from France. The atmosphere is nice n' deep, but some of the riffs could be a bit more memorable. Still the songs are well-built and have enough going for them, so they are able to stay rather interesting till the end. There is room to grow, but Altered State Of Consciousness is a great debut and a welcome prog death/melodeath album.
