This is a strong outing, though "E for extinction" and "Watching over me" are rather weak cuts, and "Fire it up" and "Foward motion" are just okay, the rest of the album is pretty damn good though

Welcome to the Masquerade packs a punch. TFK use some of the familiar traits that fans love, but there are plenty of fresh elements incorporated, plus a crisp but edgy production, to make the record an instant highlight. It seems to combine just about every one of the band's strong points into one album.

Evicting emotion through the sheer power of the heart-filled vocals and the various string arrangements combined with an easily accessible style. Thousand Foot Krutch have created an album that will surely appeal to a multitude of people through a plethora of imagination.

It's one of the few radio friendly rock albums I genuinely enjoy, and it just so happens to be from a Christian band. A small irony, I suppose. Tracks like "E for Extinction" and "Fire It Up" are what I'd like to hear more of on the radio. Less crap, please. That said...there are a lot of songs where the evangelizing is absolutely smothering, and that really kills a lot of the album for me. Five awesome/good/alright tracks is enough for a 3.
