After the great The Apostasy I honestly expected Evangelion to be a more slow tempo oriented album. I thought Be Without Fear or Libertheme will be Nergal's future templates...but I was wrong. Evangelion is definitely more raw than the previous but still is an amazing record. My favourite tracks here are the ultra violent Daimonos and Shemhamforash, the mid tempo Ov Fire and the Void and the inspired Lucifer. Great album.
This is a Behemoth album, so if you know them you'll know what to expect, blasting, growling, riffs and an atmosphere of a burning city. While this is nothing new from Behemoth, it is a exceedingly well put together record full of spirit and hum-able riffs. This album takes Behemoth one step closer to becoming Gods of their Genre
This sounds like a Behemoth album. In case you didn't know what that sounds like, it has blasts, there are growls, it's heavy and fast, and they sing about Satan. Also they spell "of" as "ov" and they don't like Christians. And in case you also didn't know, this album sounding like a Behemoth album is a good thing, because this is pretty much ace as far as songwriting goes.
