High expectations quickly crushed. Much like TKOL RMX, albums like this make me question the definition and
purpose of the word REMIX. I think often times that Interpretation is a more accurate word for albums like this.
Producers/artists are of course free and perfectly entitled to produce their version as they see it, how the song
speaks to them and how they wish to change and morph it into their own musical language. BUT, that doesn?t
always translate well into an actual enjoyable experience, especially when taking on an album that?s universally
loved and celebrated as a classic. Big responsibility and a horde of fans with high expectations. Most of these
songs are so far removed from the original source as to be totally unconnected and providing no connection for
the listener, and furthermore aren?t actually that interesting even in their own right. There are a few that for me
hit the mark, but I can?t see myself coming back that often. Personally for me this is a massive missed
opportunity. And I’m not adverse to reinterpretations per se, take Aphex Twin’s remixes of Saint Etienne and
Curve. Almost no observable link to the original song yet amazing songs nonetheless less.

Some of the remixes on here are straight trash imo. Feiticeira, digital bath, rx queen, and korea are throw away tracks while passenger, knife party and teenager are the stand out ones for me. Bold of Deftones to do this to their highest praised album but I'll stick to the original tracks.

Pretty poor remix album that doesn't do the classic album justice. Most of these tracks are either amateurishs that barely qualify as legitimate remixes or smear reverb on the track so much that everything sounds like mush.rThere are some keepers on here, though: "Teenager", "Knife Prty", "Passenger" and "Change" all receive quality reinterpretations

wasted features. good ideas sprinkled throughout but sounds like a mess. Linkin Park is the only band that pulls off the remix album idea well

This lands somewhere between brilliant and headscratching. Pink Maggit, Knife Prty, and Elite were the best by far. The Change remix would've been incredible if the chorus kicked in on the main drop. Digital Bath and Feiticeira were beyond disappointing. The rest falls somewhere in the middle for me. r

While I enjoyed this, you need to hear this as removed from White Pony as possible. These remixes showcase the artists that have influenced Deftones or have influenced the remixers, and want to make the songs THEIRS and not Deftones. I'm sitting on the fence of buying this, but for a digital 'try before I buy' I'm happy with what I got out of this.

Jam:
Elite
Street Carp
Knife Prty
Change
Pink Maggit
Teenager (Only reason it's here is because it sounds really nice to hear some of these
tracks devoid of echo/grain. This is one of the worst remixes because it's basically not
a fucking remix and Robert Smith didn't do shit on here.)

Trash:
Digital Bath
Feiticeira
RX Queen
Passenger
Korea

Pretty shit execution of a great idea. But the tracks that are listenable make up for the
ones that really fucking suck.

Knf Prty, Passenger are good. Pink Maggot is worth the admission alone. Other than that yeah this is pretty bad

This one hurts... A vast majority of these remixes go absolutely nowhere and really make you question why they even exist to begin with. Very boring overall and mostly just not very interesting. The biggest exception is Mike Shinoda's Passenger which actually kinda slaps tbh but the rest of the remixes were kinda trash... It's a shame this is how they decided to celebrate one of the greatest rock albums of the last 20 years...

Ouch. My favourite metal album of all-time has become a mostly unrecognizable, incoherent mess. The only remixes that offer anything of substance are "Street Carp" and "Knife Prty."
