This album's version of "We Like to Party" is actually waaaayyyyy better than the original, not gonna lie. Although I do miss the horns.

Popularity can make people be pushed to do some stupid things, and sometimes people misinterpret popularity as one of two ways: sincerely or sarcastically. Crazy Frog from my memory was in the sarcastic popular (i.e. notorious) category. Anyone remember that one annoying ringtone that every cellphone had, that "everyone" hated yet only played to hear the groans of other people? Yeah, that evolved into an album and became this atrocity of a techno album. A person impersonating a creature that can speak in onomatopoeia and says "bing" in every track. Hey record pushers, a turd no matter how polished is STILL A TURD!!

How this became a fad in 2005 may as well be something which will forever elude us sophisticated gentlemen and ladies. Then again, this was the year when CGI frogs could get away with exposing their dicks while repeatedly imitating the sounds of an engine, so... BING BING!

Originally - & aptly - named "The Annoying Thing", novelty pop act Crazy Frog came together via a number of collaborators, but was ultimately marketed by ringtone provider Jamba/Jamster. Amazingly, its debut LP 'Crazy Hits' went top 10 in several countries. Basically, it's some stock-standard covers of dance-pop hits, with added studio session vocals as well as annoying & loud "Ba ding ding ding" sounds courtesy of the frog. Some of the instrumentals are passable in isolation, but almost an hours worth of this just becomes a repetitive chore to listen to. Numerous versions with slightly differing track-listings don't help. Recommended Tracks: Axel F & Popcorn.
