While not as wide and grandiose in scope as Out of Time, Mamaleek takes their new unique sound and puts it through a more focused lense, building a more uniform and cohesive vision that also allows for live performances to be done. While I personally dont see this as their magnum opus I feel like its one of their best albums to date and a great follow up to OoT.

the war of all against all: nasty, metallic, experimental noise rock w hints of blues and jazz here and there. vocals are brutish, animalistic howls. if You Won't Get What You Want just wasn't nihilistic or misanthropic enough for you, give this a listen.

Idiosynchratic metal genre fusing album. I am unfamiliar with Mamaleek's previous work, but if it is as deranged and dramatic (with industrial tinges) as this, they're in for one of my new faves.

i think mamaleek is the epitome of cult black metal, being the most abrasive possible listen that
can still display talent and song structure. maybe it isn't meant to be enjoyable, and maybe i'm
missing the point here. in any case, yuck.
