4.0 excellent | manosg EMERITUS | July 24th 17 | Ever wandered how Alternative 4 would sound with Aaron Stainthorpe on vocals? Wonder no more because Lacrimas Profundere are here. Burning: A Wish is so genuinely melancholic and well-written that convinced even me - an unfair judge of any post-1999 gothic/doom - that there is some hope in finding solid gothic/doom metal outside of the '90s. Some might say that the final outcome is too safe or similar to its influences and that does play a role on my rating but it certainly does not influence negatively my enjoyment or the fact that this album transported me to my youth.

4.0 excellent | trembler | February 21st 09 | This is a magical album. I listen to it, I do not feel this "wow this is so classic!", yet, I listen to it again and again with no reason. It's just a magic... which is so seducive. Very calm with sorrowful melodies. Excellent.
