Epic. This is the definition of hardcore and horror-punk. It never gets old. If you didn't
listened to it yet, stop everything you are doing and go give it a listen. Not a single
filler or bad song, Danzig's perfomance is phenomenal, his songwriting skills are legendary.
I don't have enough words to describe how good this is.
Classic horrorpunk band the Misfits are a far-cry from the punk scene as it exists today. Had they known how things would turn out today, no doubt they would have committed some atrocities that they describe in their lyrics upon ancestors of supposed punk artists today.
I don't really know what to say for this album. It is just stunning. Tracks one through five are all grade A Misfits songs and in my mind is the best set of five songs ever in an album. Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight is the only weak point, and Die Die My Darling is obviously a highlight.
This album may be short (running about 22 minutes), but it is truly a punk and hard rock classic. It's very murky, but still hardcore and there is not one bad track on here. Some real standout songs are Die, Die My Darling, Green Hell, Mommy, Can I Go Out & Kill Tonight, and Demonomania. The impact this CD has had on other bands may even be greater than the album itself. Slayer and many other thrash metal bands like Metallica would have been inconceivable without this short but sweet masterpiece.
