These guys are at their best when they are doing something melodic, creative, and some
really sick riffs/breakdowns, all while having some great songwriting flow. Unfortunately
this album has a lot more of the spastic freakout sections and not much quality
interesting songwriting. The spastic stuff is so prevalent that it prevents flow and
there aren't many good riffs to speak of. This songwriting is pretty weak compared to
what they showed before. The production is also less clear and punchy.
They sound like they are stuck in second gear for a lot of this.
Easily their worst album, but still some good tracks. Oh well.

I definitely need a few more listens but it seems like Ultu Ulla was miles ahead of this record.
It was a huge step forward for the band. I guess Miles Dimitri Baker played a huge part in it, and
now since he's gone they just can't maintain the same quality level

The Husk goes hard but pretty much every other song on this is forgettable af, the other singles are decent I guess. Some decent riffs, some good leads here and there, but it ultimately all becomes a big blur in the end.

They brought Joel back and I thought they were gonna have some flashy songs like Eviscerate or Dingir but it didn't happen. This band is gone for me unfortunately.

The idea that this band continues to make Deathcore does not let them progress much, Miles's departure is felt, and he will be missed indeed.

Way better than 'Ultu Ulla' was, some great ideas here and there, otherwise sadly this album tends to be boring. Basically 10 song of "guitar flexing". The last instrumental track is still very great, as usual.

Better than their last two efforts a nd there are some cool riffs here and there but they just keep getting more
and more inhuman and plastic sounding as time goes on. I know that’s kind of the aesthetic but with Embryonic
Anomaly they had something interesting and distinct going on for them besides sounding like they listen to
Planetary Duality every day (not that EA didn’t
sound inhuman too but they at least had a defined sound there as well as a slight sloppiness, or human touch I
should say). Also doesn’t help that the prod and mixing here is pretty bad. The vocals are just the worst too.
