It got some great rarities such as bad boy, slowdown and matchbox. Then there's stuff like this boy and yes it is which is very forgettable for my taste. But of course she loves you and i want to hold your hand is always classic or at least tolerable being sung in German.
A collection of early Beatles singles, so if you think Rubber Soul is where it
started getting legit, stay away. Otherwise, some nice stuff. Things you grew up with--"She
Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "From Me to You", et al.--and some hidden specials
("This Boy" and "Yes It Is" are both excellent). The problem is, it's tiring. Not enough of
the B-Sides that drove this collection to fruition are actually worth listening to, and most
of the things that are of above-average quality you've probably already heard before. Plus,
at eighteen songs, hearing things like the German versions of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and
"She Loves You" can get a little grating. Sure, this a catch-all (and by "all" I mean all) collection, but it simply won't bode well for most listeners. This is a singles
collection; treat it as such. Which is advice, but not an excuse.
