Unnecessary. The guitars have much less presence and the drums feel more artificial now. I actually appreciate the removal of harsh vocals because I never thought they fit the album in the first place, but the overall mixing problems negate this improvement.

I do miss the death growls in certain bits where it's kinda empty but this recording is fantastic for hearing details that were somewhat buried in the original. Overall still the same record but an interesting listen anyway.
