Pretty good musically, not too much new for The Contortionist, but that's okay with me considering this is only about 15 minutes long. Musically its really great, but the lyrics on the first track I find a little cringey personally. I also didn't think that the cover of the Smashing Pumpkins song was particularly special. If you're a fan of The Contortionist definitely give this a listen.

1 sounds like the one non-annoying and therefore best song of some annoying djent band with a few actually nice Contortionist sections sprinkled in there. 2 is best and I kinda like it, 3.5 range track. 3 is a nice interlude but guys this a 10min EP you don't need to be doing outros and interludes and stuff, it's forgettable. 4 is a cover so yes it is cool but it's cool because it reminds you of the original, and it does not diverge enough stylistically to be interesting as a cover. This is not a bad record but I don't care for it at all - feels like it has no structure and no point - hence my rating. Hope they won't pursue the direction they took in track 1 any further. 2.5

Quite good, even though it doesn't bring anything new to the band's aesthetic. As Sitar stated in his review, the vocalist is not interesting enough as a clean vocalist for them to focus only on cleans. A little underwhelming but still a great little EP.

As far as EPs go, this is a 5/5, but I find it hard to give EPs a 5. Really good stuff. Love this direction for the band. All 4 tracks are stunning, including the cover.

I feel that "Clairvoyant" seemed like the necessary book-end to this sort of narrative that the group has established with the previous two LPs. I was wondering exactly what and rwhere the group will take their sound next after that massive conclusion, and I suppose this is nice enough to quench that suspicion. Despite clinging to that sort of lyricism, rthe record is concise and to the point. "Early Grave" and the cover of "1979" were pretty good all things considered. Quite the musical transition this band went through this rdecade. Edit: Nevermind.
