Arguments usually ensue when people are asked to name Incubus' best album. But for me, there's no doubt at all that this is it. It's very much a continuation of Make Yourself, of that there's no doubt, yet the material here is much stronger. "Nice To Know You", "Wish You Were Here", and "Echo" all better anything they'd previously recorded, while most of the rest ("Warning", "Mexico", "Just A Phase", "Aqueous Transmission", "Are You In") is as fresh and windswept as the beach at sunrise. Despite the heavier numbers, the album's overall mood means that it hangs together better than anything else they did. A joyous record that sounds every bit as good today as it did when it was released.

Screw it this is tied with ACLOTM for 3rd favorite album from these guys. Incredibly varied and displays their entire range from the softest possible to the loudest possible sounds.

This was the first album I heard by Incubus, I think this may be why I like it more than Make Yourself. The song list is just incredible. Brandon Boyd has the voice of an angel pretty much. I love Mexico, Are You In, Under My Umbrella, Circles, and the obvious singles. Great, great songs.

incubus at their best, definatly one of my fav albums. theres few shit songs on it, but others like just a phase, 11 am, mexico etc make up for it, not to mention the singles. Top album

This is by far incubus' best album to date and I can't see them topping it in the future either. The ethnic instruments on quite a few of the songs add a really good quality to the music and I don't know why more bands don't follow suit. Overall one of my favourite albums of all time

Incubus' best album, IMO. The theme of the CD is consistant, and stuffed with great songs. There's no filler tracks, and it's just good easy listening. Wish You Were Here and 11am are at the top, with Blood on the Ground and Mexico being the only traps I would consider skipping over. The harmony, the vocals, and bass are so good this time around. Dirk, we miss you.

I think this is Incubus' best album so far. Musically, it's so flawless. The first time I listened to this album I was completely blown away. Every song is so amazing. I know that Science and some of their earlier stuff is great, but I think that with this album, they matured a lot.

Most of the songs here are quite relaxed. Just listen to Are you in? for proof. Which does not mean that it lacks edge. Songs like "Nice to know you" still drive forward pretty well. The more mellow work dominates though, like Are you in? or Whish you where here for example. A good mix and the quality work you would expect of a band like Incubus. Last album to feature Dirk Lance on bass... =(
