I bought this because I love their song "Sex Ed Rocks" in the Smosh video. Unfortunately, while that song is actually good in addition to being hilarious, it is not on this CD. rWhat this CD offers is a giant pile of crap. Who cares if they're not taking themselves seriously or it's supposed to be a joke? Who wants to listen to musicians that think of their own music as crap? It's not surprising that having set out to write a bad CD, ISMFOF succeeded. THe first track is comical at first listen, but has very little replay value. "Things That Rhyme With Orange," "ASL," "But the Nuns are Watching," and "Reese's Pieces," are ok, but no better than average. And they can do little to redeem this CD.

Once you're in the right mind set then this album is a lot of fun to listen to. There is a lot of genre mixing going on here though so you may not find some of it to be of your taste. It's worth checking out though simply for its almost Japanese-like quirkiness.

It's hard to hate an album that's just so damn fun to listen too, especially when it comes from an album with the name I Set My Friends on Fire. Here is an album you don't want to take too seriously, just hang out with a bunch of friends and let it play.

I Set My Friends on Fire is a group you should always take lightly; of course, everyone's pretty much stated that at this point. Their first album tries to be hilarious in ways, though it ends up performing about twelve monkey flips straight into shark-infested waters. At least compared to Astral Rejection, You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter has actual instrumentation going for it (due to Nabil Moo's presence), so it's not THAT horrible.

This album is terrible, as it contains no depth, originality, emotion, skill, and most importantly, passion for the music at hand. This is what music sounds like like when it's written and made with a computer (plus abhorrent harsh and clean vocals on top), and honestly it's one of the worst things I've ever heard. 'Hxc 2-Step' is actually worse than Brokencyde, if that's possible. Avoid.

It is honestly one of the greatest, i mean GREATEST albums i have ever listened to. it completely mixes my favorite genres electronc, metalcore, post-hardcore, and pop-punk and even have an original hip hop song. matt's singing voice is beautiful even if it is autotune or not. and unlike other hardcore screamo bands they are really upbeat and just want to put a smile on your face. and unlike other bands of the genre their lyrics arent depressing or dark or emotional at all but upbeat, silly, and often funny. They made their own style of music and not that many musicians are that talented.
and i hope that the next album that they come out with will be just as good

In order to trully appreciate this band, you have to take it for what it is: a parody. These guys don't take themselves seriously and neither should you. Once you get past your prejudices you'll begin to notice that this is a fun album to listen to, nothing great but good nontheless.

I really, really like this album. I'm surprised on the variety they use in each song, so many great hooks. One thing that kind of bugs me is they added Crank That, for some odd reason, I've heard it over about 1000 times now.
