Someone should write a full length for this ASAP because it pretty much kicks A**. A heavy, insanely fun romp all the way through the music is full of energy and as stated in another soundoff sounds alot like ETID. Excellent record. Makes me wanna get up and break stuff.

If anything, Rattlesnake! proves that A Static Lullaby is not a one-trick pony. As great as the self-titled was, it was a bit too stylistically similar to their debut. Rattlesnake! shatters their previous ties with screamo. ASL has obviously been listening to a LOT of Every Time I Die - opener Rattlesnake!, The Turn, The Prestige, and Everybody's Got A Lil' Fonz N' 'Em, come close to blatant rip-offs of ETID, but they have enough signature ASL in them, that they are amazing. Joe's screams have never sounded better, and Dan's voice has lost all of its whine. Thick riffs, breakdowns that make you want to destroy everything in sight, and some really solid clean-singing passages. This album is fast and furious, and made for the mosh pit. This is ASL on crack and ETID. Highly recommended.
P.S. The cover of Toxic is actually pretty great!

Lyrically and musically, this is by far the bands best album. I never would have dreamed of calling an "A Static Lullaby" album badass.

After the tragedy that was Faso Latido, ASL took a step backwards and went to what they do best on their self-titled. After the much better (if not top-heavy) self-titled, they took it a couple steps further. For "Rattlesnake!" ASL stripped down to a four piece, Dan handled all the guitar parts, Joe got sober, and they took a page from Every Time I Die. The result is a much more focused, hard rocking, and fun ASL. If you liked their self-titled, then you'll at the very least enjoy this just as much. Oh yeah, and it turns out that B. Spears can rock, and rock well.
