Great album, not that weird like what I expected. The full instrumental songs were the best imo (the opener was SO great!), and I liked the rest of it too, however I found one-two songs a bit annoying and overlong. The vocals are nice and wild, fits very well to this style. And the various samples sounded simply awesome, nice work!

This is one fucking badass album, not to mention a badass motherfucker like JG Thirwell himself. Out of his entire discography, this album is probably his most accessible and listenable. The melodies are insanely catchy and the song arrangements are much more traditional. Highly recommend this sexy album

My love for J.G. Thirlwell has not gone unnoticed on sputnik, his one man industrial project has always had a ferocious bite to it through his black humour and Nail is often seen as the Foetus magnum opus. I beg to differ (1988's Thaw would be my personal choice), however it is still one of the most important 80's industrial recordings and there are plenty of moments on here I just can't help but smile at everytime I hear them (Descent Into The Inferno being one of them). Album is so much fun, production might be a little flat for some though despite the amount of intricate layers of sound there is.
