Also, who's the dork who said STD and STAGD are better than TLI, TRM, and their older stuff? Assclown.

Don't know why but this album flowed for me much more than the higher rated "The Living Infinite." "The Nurturing Glance" struck me as uncomfortably close to glam metal, but otherwise great head banging all the way through.

After letting this album settle for a bit and some careful listening it?s really grown on me. The highs on this album are really damn high, with the lows still being serviceable. Overall some solid tracks that definitely made the 2019 playlist for me.

Already been said but wtf who likes Sworn or STD over TLI/TRM? Is that even possible? Super tempted to jam this though, wanted to wait but these ratings got me even more pumped than I already was.

In my opinion, this album lacks the complexity and inspiration that was present in the ride majestic or the living infinite. Just comparing the verses in both songs, this album feels a lot more cookie cutter and formulaic and I get bored of the songs much more quickly.?

Singles were alright.. new drummer holds his own.. The mix and instrumentation are excellent (esp THE BASS); but it's just them "coasting along"(?) and trying to be overtly experimental. The song, "Full Moon Shoals" (apparently their attempt at a radio-hit, ballad) is beyond cringe-worthy. After 3 full listens of the entire record, I just find myself asking.. "why would I listen to this when I could listen to anything from their mostly solid back catalogue?!". My favorite "newer" album by them is probably "The Panic Broadcast" from 2010; HOWEVER, everything they've released since then has been pretty goddamn solid IMO.
