Icy cold black metal that uses its melodic edge to weasel in overtly head-banging, fist-bumping
grooves every now and again, despite its super serious facade. Which is to say, Sargeist know how
to be krieg and still have fun.

Cold melodies and relentless aggression are still what Sargeist's about. But this new iteration, courtesy of an almost fully revamped line-up, shows Shatraug at the best of his composing abilities, with a few novelties such as twin guitar harmonies and actual desperate screaming alongside the usual screeching black metal vocals. Best effort of their career imo.

Sargeist has been one of the best bands in the bm scene since they?ve entered it and this is their best album since Disciple of the Henious Path. One of the best metal albums of the year for sure.

I?ve never been a huge Sargeist fan but this is really good, super melodic and icy black metal. I need to give props to the production too, it?s the perfect combination of clean and chaotic.
