Refused didn't rip these guys off, but they sure as hell borrowed a lot from them. The mix of post-hardcore and free jazz is quite interesting, the dynamics are better than their debut, the band really knows how to create the mood they want, and Ian's vocals perfectly complement it all. Maybe this is proof that free jazz in a way, was a punk movement before rock n' roll even existed itself. Mixing punk and jazz though, who would've thought it would be this good? It's basically prog-punk, but in the classic way we remember prog. Sadly unnoticed, all you Refused fans need to check this band right now. Dynamic, jazzy post-hardcore; it rules.
