It Doesn't even feel appropriate to call them deathcore anymore, Black Tongue have evolved Into rsomething much more darker, much more brooding. This album takes their Doom/Black rinfluences into the next fucking level. It's Somber and Gloomy, seething with the cold and revil that one could only find in black metal, yet they also manage to incorporate their rtrademark destructive sludge in this beautiful combination; making the atmosphere rin this album is unbelievably goodr

This is some fucking hateful music. I dig it. Sounds absolutely massive, the mixing job on this
really brings it to life. It's a shame the kick drum is so stupidly loud, but otherwise it sounds
amazing.
I don't like much of anything in the "downtempo deathcore" pile, but these guys have clearly moved
beyond that.

Honestly the best album Black Tongue has released, uniting Downtempo and Blackened Deathcore in one superbly produced package and evolving their sound without betraying their roots.

Might go back down to a 3, but after producing pretty shit beatdown deathcore, Black Tongue has produced a somewhat memorable effort on Nadir, incorporating black metal, slam death, and even doom metal riffs into their sound. Yeah, this is worth jamming at least once.
