Staind continue to be average. Not bad, not good, but average. Occasionally painfully so, especially when a lot of these songs have serious potential for being good. One moment, it's a half-decent modern rock song, and it feels like something impressive is being built up to... But the verse or bridge will end, and we wont get a soaring passage, a solo, a breakdown, or anything to make that build feel worth it. We'll get one more chorus.
It's a decent album, even though I nearly fell asleep listening to it. Break the Cycle is much better - I'm not terribly fond of the soft direction Staind are taking with this album, but it's decent. Recommended tracks: "This Is It", "Believe"
