A kaleidoscopic, lushly psychedelic album that is equal parts ache and groove, Swimming holds a shocking amount of nuance and depth. What was admittedly some goofy lyricism on previous efforts now scans as unfiltered and wholly genuine, and while some moments may feel a little aimless, there's not a weak track to be found. Easily Mac's best album.

Nothing much to say, other than its just good. sometimes not saying much is a good thing. You really can feel the Frank Ocean Vibe, but Blonde is way better

I'll admit I never really listened to much of his work until after he died, but this album has been on repeat for a long while. The dichotomy of how chill and relaxed everything sounds with his vulnerable lyricism makes for a really engaging - and heartbreaking listen.

Mac Miller can either have a very ''rapper'' voice or more a singy voice. And the production varies from rap beats, to slower soft-singing beats and sometimes Mac uses his rapper voice on these soft-singy beats and it doesn't work. Same for the other way around. rThe theme of mental illnesses is pretty well exploited, but would hit even harder if I knew more about Mac. Overall it's a good album and I can see why people like it, but not really my style

I was pleasantly surprised with this album. Excellent production, the vibe is immaculate (much as Blonde) and you really feel Miller's emotions throughout this record. Not as talented vocally than Frank Ocean but a really good listen nevertheless.

Swimming is Mac Miller's finest hour. Mac reflects on a life full of partying, fame, drugs, regrets, pain, success, and failures in a beautiful and relaxing album. These are some of the best beats Mac has worked with, the Thundercat feature on "What's The Use" is perfect, and the production quality is out of this world. A true 5.
