Lyrically, the active nihilism and anarchist/anti-establishment themes were brutally condemning. The sound brings bloody assault; so controlled, yet so chaotic and unpredictable. In this album is a burning anger, calling to the anguished and self-conflicted. Wild, there are no boundaries, letting the crazed mind pick and punch wherever it please. Also, I just love how the vocalists took all the good parts of Sikth's vocals and made them absolutely badass. The album also has instrumental work comparable to old Sikth, though not quite as good. Old Sikth, however, is probably my favorite instrumental work ever, so I mean absolutely no offense to John Browne. You still rad man.

Excellent dual vocals combined with relentless energy and aggression makes this a good listen every time. Sometimes a little simple.

I really love this album but it sucks that they broke up right before they we're about to tour the states. The two singer approach works pretty well on this album as both voices are diverse but blend together well. I think djent as a genre is really stupid as there are way too many bands doing the same goddamn thing like go find other music to play instead of copying meshuggah, although this band is an exception.

This album grooves like a motherfucker!!! If you like nasty JUNS and DJENTS on guitars, and polymetric (Meshuggah style) grooves, you must hear this. There's a little bit of filler on here, but tracks 1, 3, 9,10, and 11 are incredible, and have breakdowns that rock so hard, your head will cave in and implode. Drums are grimy sounding, but tastefully restrained with small subtle (but colorful) fills. The bass has a nice tone, and holds a tight groove with the drums, more noticeably when the guitars pull back to play clean interludes. The vocals are very harsh and may turn a few people off, but they grow on you. The similar sounding high pitch shrieks from the two vocalists are nothing special, but the harmonized choruses work quite well. This album is far from perfect, but is still a fun album to listen to, and up amongst the highest play counts in my iTunes library. There is a definite Meshuggah influence, but unlike other Djent bands, Fellsilent just keep it simple, and raw as hell. Clever riff phrasing is used but in a way that makes it seem complex, but simple enough to bang your head to. To put it simply... You know the outro riff on New Millenium Cyanide Christ?? ... Well, this whole album is full of badass riffs like that.

SiKth wanna-be's/ Why do they need two vocalists to sound this horrible?
|3.0 good||SuckleMyKnuckle | March 4th 10|
Fellsilent almost completely tip off disbanded British math metal outfit Sikth. The catchy singing choruses are the only saving grace.

Extremely talented musicians. Reminds me of a more-listenable Meshuggah. The production of the album is just stellar.

A band with an extremely refined and definite sound which clearly lets them stand out from the crowd.rWhile the songs aren't ever incredibly technical which might put off fans of technical metal, the album is at heart, the epitome of Math metal.
