4.0 excellentvoodooramen | August 10th 12

This album is from what I consider Polyvinyl Record's finest time. Their late 90's roster has some of my favorite indie music, period. Highlights on this album, for me, are "Planetary" which leads into "Broken Radio." Much of this album has Caithlin De Marrais giving the vocals her all, to the point of being out of tune at times. This isn't detrimental to the music, as it lends to the overall tone of despair, while other songs lend to a tone of hope with softness in her voice. Granted, I will admit this isn't a 4.0 album, but those two tracks I mentioned are very heavily weighed, as they are some of my favorite 90's emo. I recommend a listen if you enjoy Christie Front Drive or Mineral.
