Having released their Magnum Opus in Back In Black, Acca/Dacca would have a seriously difficult time following up that monster. Yet their seventh international studio album, and second with vocalist Brian Johnson, is just as much killer as BiB. Their third best album.
They made some albums that were worse, but more that were better than this one.
The title track is the only classic AC/DC track here, far from being one of my favorite AC/DC-classics, as a result I hardly listen to this CD anymore.
AC/DC is a classic band, simply because its huge influence it had on thousands of rock bands that came after them, and not only rockbands are fans and are inspired by AC/DC. Living Colour and Hooverphonic also made covers of AC/DC, hell, even the hip-hoppers of Starflam are fans !
*Sigh* oh damn, where to begin? I really enjoyed Back in Black. Then I heard the title track for this album and I thought the rest of the songs would be just as good. Christ, was I wrong. This could be one of the most uninspired rock portraits of AC/DC's career. But hell, I haven't listened to ALL of their stuff, so yeah. Anyways, after they went off tour for the promotion of Back in Black, they decided to make this album. 10 minutes later, the world got a taste of this monstrocity.
