3.0 good | TheFantasticDangler | April 7th 18 | Dan brings the beats but Keith sounds... off. Most tracks have him devoid of flow, spitting long, rsporadic lines mainly pausing only to end a sentence rather than take the beat into consideration. rIt makes me feel like I'm on a treadmill thats justt a little too fast. And his flow reminds rme of listening to someone type on a keyboard. Area 54 is easily the best, because Keith actually rfocuses on his phrasing and the beat, rather than fitting as many words as possible into his rversesrDan, and adding Del and 3030 into the concept makes this. rrisodo dan the automator makes the beats and hes a legend, and really beats aren't the problem rhere, actually fuck that theres some dope beats here

3.0 good | TheManMachine | July 20th 18 | A reboot no one really needed, but now that it's here and Dan The Automator is executive beat-man and they made sure to follow in Dr. Octagonecologyst's footsteps to a T, sure we'll take it. When beats do break out that mold a bit they stick, but prevailing is still the thrill of Kool Keith's rhyme-stuffed serious-bout-absurdity rollercoaster flow. As hinted from opening with a song called "Octagon Octagon" that samples Dr. Octagon and octagons everything in sight, he's either overly confident in his self-mythology or just trolling; but his non-sequiturs are more often than not a hoot to trail -- lotsa animals, colors, lechery that's almost always attached to a laugh. But even when curbing it to only one porno sample this can't help but feel a bit dated+awkward at times, and I like scratchin' as much as the next guy. Not that it's full-on Awktagon, just doesn't have that same album flow or belly-fire or edge, and I wouldn't expect it to. Not to mention, KoRn chords just ain't what they used to be.

2.0 poor | Risodo | April 10th 18 | I'm not an expert on Hip-Hop, knowing all the variations and beats the style provides like Fantano's reviews, but it's noticeable that "Moosebumps" is a failed attempt to go back to time in a classic way. "Dr. Octagonecologyst" is fantastic and certainly a milestone that is set forever. However, Dr. Octagon's two last attempts to reach the same level were flaws. It seems that he and MF DOOM suffer from identity crisis, but at least the latter is still able to make good beats. Edit: "Flying Waterbed" is pretty good to be honest.
