This E.P shows The Presets at a much more vulnerable and angry stage of their musical
development; the opening tracks are almost a complete departure from the bands current
lyrical and music direction. It's not until the fifth track, "At A Loss", comes around that
the listener is grace with a taste of what was to come on the bands full length and even
then it's a look at the more somber, slower side at that. While not as danceable or catchy Blowup manages to show the group at an early stage, one that already had slight
hints of genius.
