For how little it was promoted (and clearly how little the their label paid for the production and recording), this album is just exceptionally written for a melodic death metal record. There's a reason why Dark Tranquillity consider this band to be one of their direct ascendants.

Nothing fancy--outside of some single bass pedal rhythms a-typical of melodeath--just solid guitar work, accessible rtracks, and fun, up-beat tempos. Melodic death metal.

Full of strong melodic riffs, solid song structuring and passable vocal work, Eucharist have put forth an album that attempts to juxtapose melody with harsh raw energy to enjoyable results but doesn't bring anything new to the genre.
