Post-Self is most of JKB?s career in one record. You got the disorientng, oppressive atmosphere of Greymachine
and their own records Slavestate, Merciless, and Pure, the industrial techno fusion and flourishes he mastered at
this point with JK Flesh, Techno Animal and other collabs with The Bug, post-punk drum beats and shimmering
calls to Jesu are present. It all wouldn?t be the same without Green on the spine of it all, keeping it punishing
along with those heavy doom riffs and dubbed hardcore electronics. In other words, they just showed everyone
the fuck up.

Post Self is full of some really cool and surprisingly varied discordant stuff. I think this could make a really cool game soundtrack.

GODFLESH! I wish it was more metal though, AWLOBF was a more traditional album IMO.

Post Self is a killer of an industrial metal album. Godflesh don't seem to have lost any of their talent in the many years they've been around. I love how heavy and powerful this whole thing sounds. There's a slight dip in the middle where the songs aren't quite as crushing as the opening and closing, but it's minimal. I love how pissed off the album begins and how martial it sounds towards the end. Godflesh never disappoint.

I really loved the drums in "Mortality Sorrow" and the drone in "The Cyclic End". Overall it has a very good heavy sound and I love it like how I liked the Jesu self-titled album.
